The North Maine Woods is noted for its big bucks! We are located in the heart of buck country. Hundreds of miles of maintained roads in our area make it a hunters paradise -- whether it be deer, bear, grouse, rabbit, Allagash Gateway Campsite offers it all. There are also an incredible number of moose in our area -- if you are lucky enough to be selected in the annual moose lottery.
